Probably when you think of Lego then an ipod is not the first thing, probably not even the second, that will pop into your head. But for Lego enthusiasts who are also ipod fans there is the possibility of combing your two loves. Prepare for the Lego ipod.

Well ok, it isn’t a new unorthodox design by apple instead it is an shuffle ipod inside a Lego built case that gives the impression that it is a full sized version of the popular MP3 Player. Not bad, huh?

Indeed if you have a full sized ipod then you can Lego-ize (I know, it’s not a word) it too. Check out this guy as he converts his original ipod into one that every Lego aficionado should want, actually no, should need. It certainly makes it look a lot better than they original especially if yours is as scraped and tattered as mine is from dropping it on the pavement too many times.

And this craze is not confined to just ‘pimping’ your ipods. There are Lego Docks too.

They come in a variety of colors’ are look infinitely cooler than the generic ones you find in most technology outlets. See the little plus (+) signs? They are speakers. Yes they are pretty small and you’re not going to be dazzled or blown away by the superior sound quality as opposed to the ‘proper’ docks but the will play your favorite songs nonetheless. And anyway, I’m sure we could sacrifice a bit of sound quality for the appearance of a Lego Dock.

So there we go, Lego and ipods are compatible. Very compatible. If you’re a Lego fan and have an ipod then pimp it out. Either have a, admitably bulky, Lego ipod or have a super cool Lego Dock. You could play ‘The Lego Song’ by The Maccabees. No? Just me? Thought so.
