A few weeks ago we brought you the news that Top Gear Presenter James May was to build a house made entirely out of LEGO bricks; crazy some may say. Perhaps, but then again it looks set to be a truly awesome creation.
Some 1,200 LEGO enthusiastic volunteers have already started building the house and it is expected that it will take up to 3.5 million bricks to complete. I think we can all agree that that is quite a number of LEGO bricks compared to the few hundred most of us possess. Nor is it taking very long to finish; May hopes to have it accomplished by the end of this week.

Everything is built out of LEGO.
From the outside, to the furniture, the roof, the staircase and, what is being touted as the most problematic pieces of the house, the bathroom. Somehow the thought of a LEGO bath doesn’t really appeal to this author, nor does a LEGO lavatory which is also proving to be a difficult contraption to create entirely from LEGO.

May himself expects to live in the house for a period of time however one suspects that it won’t be too long; even still, the house promises to be one of the truly great LEGO creations.
