Since the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Captain Jack Sparrow –the captain of the Black Pearl has been a favorite among Lego builders. Take Craig Steven for example who did a great job on a Captain Jack Sparrow Lego bust.

The adventure films starring Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom is now in Legoland. The story was written by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliot –the two writers basing the story on Walt Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean theme park ride. The theme-park-ride-turned-film is one of the most successful films of the decade acquiring a total of $1, 066, 179, 725 from movie houses worldwide.

Following the trilogy is a Pirates of the Caribbean Lego video game released for different game systems including Wii. The game starts in the hub Tortuga where all characters from the movie congregate. Players can have a view of the Black Pearl on the dock. Apart from the Black Pearl, players will also see the Empress and the Flying Dutchman. In the first part of the Jack will arrive in Port Royal to commandeer a ship when the beautiful Miss Swan falls off the city wall. Like what happens in the movie, the captain saves her life. Once the first chapter is finished, off you will go to the Siege of Port Royal and then to Isla De Muerta where Will Turner, Jack Sparrow and the rest of the crew will have to save Elizabeth Swan from the Black Pearl’s crew.
One of the most loved part of the trilogy is the interceptor vs. the black pearl where the two ships engages in a ship battle. Of course the ambush done by the undead crew of the Black to the newly installed commodore Norrington’s crew is also in the game –making it more exciting and fun.
Hector Barbossa makes an appearance as well in part 6 of the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean game. When done with the first movie, the game moves on to the Dead Man’s Chest and then later on to At World’s End. The ending of course is already known to most Pirates of the Caribbean fans but try playing the game –it breathes in new life to the trilogy.
