How to Make a Lego Car

Making a Lego car shouldn’t be too difficult as long as you know how to use your creativity, resourcefulness, and collection of Lego blocks. The following guide is only one way of creating a car out of Lego; after figuring out the basics, you can come up with new ideas that you can use to make your Lego car original.

First, you begin with two pairs of wheels; one large pair and another small pair. Fasten transparent hubcaps to the tail of the wheels at the back and a small rectangular piece underneath the back wheels. This will serve as the Lego car’s tailpipe.

Second, connect two or more rectangular blocks to the bases of the other two wheels. These blocks should be two studs wide and at most nine studs long. Afterwards, construct the car’s main chassis by using more rectangular Lego blocks. At the nose of the car, fasten one two studs by one stud piece where you would then put two round, transparent blocks. This will be the car’s headlights.

Third, just continue constructing the car’s body using different Lego blocks. To make it look more interesting, you can use blocks of different colors and edges.

Lastly, connect an engine block on the car’s nose. Put slim blocks on the sides to serve as doors. You can also attach a spoiler on the car’s tail and a transparent windshield.

During this process, make sure that the pieces are securely attached to one another to ensure that no block will not get detached while you are playing with it. If the pieces are secure and correctly fastened, the Lego car would be able to roll on the floor the same way as any other toy car would. In case it doesn’t, check underneath the wheels for any obstructions that may stop the wheels from working properly.
