Lego Skycrapers: Part I

Skyscrapers are remarkable structures that signify the accomplishments of humankind. In Legoland, these skyscrapers also stand and they are based on the real ones. There are about 20 Lego skyscraper-replicas and they are truly awe-inspiring much like the real thing. This article will only mention 3 of these replicas to talk about it in detail. First in line is Lego Burj Khalifa a skyscraper in Dubai. Eric Hunter, a Lego builder designed this massive Lego structure for Legoland Dubai for its announcement in May two years ago. The structure is 18 feet tall and looks exactly the same as the real Burj Khalifa. It was at the Arabian Travel Market tradeshow for a week and now resides in the main office of Dubailand.  Eric Hunter also made a mini version of the Lego Burj Khalifa and he gave this as a gift to the developer of Dubailand.

Another awe-inspiring creation is Lego Burj Al Arab also located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This Lego replica is very accurate except for the colors but whether it has the right colors or not, it is an exceptional work of art.

The infamous Space Needle in Seattle, USA also has a replica and this beautiful Lego creation was done by Ryan Swarick, a Lego enthusiast. He started this project in December of 2004 and finished approximately 4 years later. The creation has over 30,000 bricks and a lot of sweat, blood and tears. This however is one building that Swarick always wanted to build so the sweat, blood and tears was welcome along with the outrageous budget spent for the project. The Space Needle was built with a futuristic point of view that is why the building stands out from other buildings in Seattle. Today, this is still an rather amazing-looking building and its replica is just the same.
