Little Coloured Bricks

Coming this 2010 is Lego Universe, a massively multiplayer game online developed by NetDevil. According to their press release, it will be out either in the 3^rd or 4^th quarter of this year. It was supposed to be available last year but it was delayed to the dismay of many Lego fans. Lego Universe is the very 1^st online computer game from the Danish bricks. According to sources the game is currently in its beta testing stage which is cool.

The game takes place in a different universe populate by Lego minifigs. Its plot starts with a team of Legomen who goes to space to look for the Last Essence of Pure Imagination. In the plot, they of course, found it and later on one of the characters Baron Typhonus uses his imagination to make a giant spider. The spider takes him to the source f this essence nut creates a Maelstorm –a dark force in Lego Universe. The Lego minifigs take great pains to push back this force to restore the harmony of the Lego Universe. Players from all over the globe will help the Lego people to battle Maelstorm and its army of evil.

Who are the characters?

Professor Brickkeeper is an inventor who also runs the creation laboratory of the Lego Universe site. He has a robot dog named M.U.T.T. also known as Motorized Universal Technology Terrier designed in Lego scale. There’s also Bob, a plain Legoman, Buron the dragon and the Darklings or the evil beings from the Maelstorm. These evil beings can appear in different forms and can even turn other creatures and Legomen into their likeness. These characters can be found at the Lego Universe website.
