Lego is no longer limited to just producing brick toys and minifigures. The company has expanded its merchandise to include a clothing line and temporary tattoos that stick on.

This expansion is a sign of its popularity with people of different ages. One of its newer advances is branching into video games, this is something you already know of course but let’s talk about one of the best video games ever released by the Lego Group –Lego Indiana Jones (the video game).

Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is a video game first released in 2008. The game was developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by LucasArts, the same brand responsible for the Star Wars franchise. This game was created for several different platforms including Nintendo DS, Playstation 2 and 3, Playstation Portable, the Wii, Xbox 360 as well as for the Mac and Windows.

Similar to the treatment of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, there have been some elements in the game that have been altered to invoke a simpler environment that young kids can enjoy with the intention that this game would be more family friendly, giving a lighter sense to the game itself.

The next game in the series is Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues. It is an upgraded version from its predecessor, with the inclusion of new features such as level creation. This game is first released in 2009 by the same developer and producer. With this game, the players are given four options in adventures. Unlike its predecessor, it includes features taken from the most recent movie under the series, the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. This game has been limited in terms of platforms, with the exclusion of Playstation 2 and Mac OS X.

In both games, the user controls a Lego minifigure as it goes through its adventures. The game involves some exploration as well as solving puzzles. Players are given the option of playing solo or with another player at the same time.
