As Aristotle wrote “We make war that we may live in peace.” With the ongoing war in Iraq and other conflicts in the Arab world, American, British, German and Australian troops are sent to liberate the people of Iraq.

Although a losing battle and although most do not support the war, supporting the troops is a must.

The troops in every Lego nation are always at war especially those who are ruled by boy Lego enthusiasts. Although many parents condone violence, many boys and girls around the world still play with toy guns and Lego minifigs with guns. Playing with guns will not necessarily mean your children will turn violent. As long as they have proper guidance they can play with Lego troops and soldiers. Who knows, your child might aspire to become a military officer someday because of the inspiration drawn from Lego military minifigs.

Going to war is necessary to attain peace. This may not be something that most people would agree on but since time immemorial, mankind has gone through war and a whole lot of hardship to attain the peace we have today. Although in other parts of the globe, wars are still ongoing, many hope that someday there will be peace. That “someday” however will not be realized soon since there are just too many conflicts the world over and this means that the military will always be there, for many decades to come. They are not only needed in times of war but in times of peace as well to maintain the peace that the citizens in their respective countries are enjoying.

There are many sets for sale where minifig soldiers are involved but if you want the US Army uniform of today, you better make one of your own since Lego does not have such versions all they have are the World War II ones.
