Born in Württemberg, Germany on the 14th of March 1879, Albert Einstein, a well-known physicist and mathematician began his schooling at Munich’s Luitpold Gymnasium. Six weeks after his birth, the family moved to Munich to search for a greener pasture.

After a few years, the family moved again but this time they left Germany and went to Italy where the young Albert continued his education. By 1896, he went to the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School located in Zurich and trained there to be a physics and math teacher. He later on continued teaching as a theoretical physicist in Prague then back to Zurich again. A German, American and Swiss citizen, Albert Einstein was a well-traveled man. He later on renounced his German citizenship for political reasons and moved to the US to teach physics at Princeton University. After the Second World War, Einstein was not only a celebrated scientist but a leading figure in politics. In fact, what many do not know is that the theoretical physicist was offered the presidency for the State of Israel. He of course declined but served as one of the movers and shakers of the newly established country. Together with Chaim Weizmann, a fellow professor, Eisntein established the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Known today as a very influential figure not only in the world of physics, the Nobel Prize in Physics awardee contributed a massive amount of knowledge to modern physics and a lot of love for the Jewish people since he is Jewish himself.
Apart from the uber popular baby Einstein, we still see Einstein in many forms today and this includes Lego Einstein creations done by Legoland itself and done by those who idolize the physicist.
Introducing Albert Einstein through Lego is a great way for your children to get to know the scientist.

Puppets in my idea were the best way to teach children, as least when I was growing up!
