Little Coloured Bricks

Lego has been a part of a children’s lives for years. It is not only a great toy but it molds the imagination and creativity of children. These tiny colorful plastic bricks can be assembled in many different ways. You can make a house, a building, a robot, or even vehicles, or you can even make your own town or city. Whatever constructed from these tiny bricks can be taken apart, so children can make another masterpiece. Lego has conquered young adults as well. This toy targets the age bracket of 7-16 years old but has conquered older generations as well. The younger generation of Lego enthusiasts however started a new trend of using Lego parts -using them for abstract art, and for other things they are interested about.

Now these tiny bricks are part of movies, video games, music videos, board games and are even used for science competitions. The company recently released new ideas like “Atlantis” and the up and coming Lego Universe.

Lego is for all genders and it is much loved by the young ones and those who were young once. Belville and Clikits lines are lego sets designed to appeal to young girls but those who have sons should not worry because the company also has lego soldiers or what they call the military theme. There is no direct military/war themed sets though and the Lego Group said this was done in order to not occupy the child’s mind with violence.

Thousands of lego sets and ideas were made specific for children to enhance their creativity in the arts, and also improve their motor skills (in terms of flying their Lego planes while running around the house, at least). Whatever new lego set is released; the old bricks from the past years are still compatible with the new ones. The bricks are with the same size for every type and what are only added are the little humans (minifigs) with new gears and gadgets. The more children buy these toys, the more Lego bricks they will have and the more they can make their own creations. To add to that, they will have more enjoyment and this will last for years.
