Lego is so famous around the globe that almost every child knows about it. But even if it is quite popular, not many are able to have this toy or have access to it.
This can be due to the expensiveness of the said toy or probably because it is not available in some countries. Whichever the case, many Lego enthusiasts are saddened that not all children have access to the bricks.
Some parents especially those in third world economies just buy cheap toys for their children, sometimes even none at all. Sad as it is, this is the reality of the world we live in. Some people are poor, some people can afford a few things while some can actually afford almost anything they wish to have.
Although some parents can afford to buy their children Lego blocks or bricks, they still choose to buy them something cheaper because in the first place, toys and playtime are less important than the bills that need to be paid.
It is important to note however that great playtime can go a long way. It helps in improving a child’s creativity that he or she will still be able to tap in the future. Great playtime also results to well-roundedness and great communication. We are not saying that Lego is the ultimate toy for every child since every kid is different from the other but from what we have seen in the past few decades, Lego is not your usual toy because it is a great building block for creativity, critical thinking and even communication.
There are other toys that can help children develop these skills but why buy a possibly-hazardous toy if you already have access to something that is both safe for your children and for the environment itself? The next time you go to the toy store, you should keep in mind that toys aren’t just for playtime –they are part of your child’s development.
