- Lego Creations
Lego blocks are the bomb, they are versatile and as mentioned by many a blogger for years –enhances a person’s creativity whether young or old.
Lego is like the Michael Schumacher in the world of toys making it rather popular –so popular that even the most famous bands in the 90s were recreated through the bricks.
This includes Nirvana, the American band that rocked the world of teens and yuppies in the 90s.
The band was formed by the late Kurt Cobain and the band’s bassist Krist Novoselic.
Nirvana had a lot of drummers –a succession of, that is but the longest-lasting was Dave Grohl.
In the beginning of their rather successful music career, the band rocked the Seattle music scene. Their first album Bleach came out in 1989 under an independent record label.
Two years later, Nirvana released their still very popular single “Smells Like Teen Spirit” hitting the charts and making the band one of the hottest alternative bands in the 90s. The song somehow summarized how the young generation felt about themselves and the world as a whole i.e. “Here we are now, entertain us.”
Later on, the band entered the mainstream making grunge a flagship music of the 90s generation.
In fact, the band’s frontman Kurt Cobain was deemed as the spokesman of a generation with his band as the flagship band of Gen X. With the popularity of Smells Like Teen Spirit rising and its presence felt in airwaves all around the globe, the band got more attention from the media and getting more fans along the way.
Their shows were oversold and the whole world wanted a piece of the band.
In 1994, Kurt Cobain died but the influence of Nirvana endured. Today, Generation X is still nostalgic about the 90s and about Nirvana and their hits.
