We know, we know, Valentine’s Day is still so far from your minds right now but hey, February is approaching and the season will come and go in a blink of an eye.
For Lego enthusiasts, Valentine’s Day is another one of those seasons where they can infuse their creativity with the little coloured bricks i.e. building rather large hearts, making chocolates that look like minifigs or Lego blocks or sending a card that says “I LOVE YOU” using the bricks.
Valentine’s Day is also a fun celebration and a great way to introduce the kids to cupid and St. Valentine’s or at least their history or the myth in the case of cupid.
Cupid is Venus’ son so now you know where all the love comes from huh? Mythology and history aside, Valentine’s Day is a great way for you to celebrate love not only with your special someone but celebrate love in general i.e. love for family, your parents for example, love for your friends, love for mother Earth or whatever else you have in mind. In fact, you can celebrate love with your pets too!
Whoever the recipients of your love and devotion, giving them a gift or two can be quite sweet. If you want that gift to be special however, you better start planning what Lego creation you are going to make this year because you will never know how long one might take. This can be quite a big problem especially if you are not such a fast builder. The first thing you should do is to decide what you want to build and then make sure that you have enough Lego blocks for you to build it. You can make use of Lego.com’s designer software so you can really plan what you are building.
