Little Coloured Bricks

This is the Ascension Class Artillery Mech (picture below), the second in the Dawn Forge series by Brian Kescenovitz.

The Dawn Forge is a series of Lego models of mechs, a fictional army created by the genius known also in the community as mondayn00dle.

The Ascension is a quadruped support mech that is able to bombard distant targets with heavy munitions non-stop, or until the enemy retreats or surrenders. A powerhouse of weapons, this is the artillery support of the future. In the battlefield, the Ascension may just sit in a distant and secure location. One call from the people at the frontlines, and off goes the lights on the enemy’s end of the warzone.

Equipped with a massive rail-gun, the Ascension is a force to be reckoned with. In addition to this, it is also loaded with two 55mm heavy machine guns that can fire up to eight hundred rounds per minute to keep smaller hostiles at bay at close range. At mid-range, the Ascension’s four 200mm mortar tubes will put a stop to any enemy operation. Twelve 220mm rocket tubes with quick reloading capability will also give the opposing forces the worst possible time.

Because it has so much fire power in it, the Ascension needs the support of the four legs to move and to avoid flipping over after firing its outrageously-large rail gun. The power of which, according to Brian’s website/offering bags, is at about 160 Mega joules (and you do not need a translation to sort of feel how strong that is).

The Lego community is definitely teeming with so many great ideas and creations out there, but Brian Kescenovitz’s is just over the top! His eye for detail makes his mocs stunning to look at, while making it very functional at the same time.

There is so much to be said about Brian, but as of right now, there’s just so much amazement pointed towards this and other mocs for anyone to even say anything bad about them.
