The Octan-themed LUGnuts challenge created such a frenzy of ideas and mocs from Lego community,

that one article could not sum up the many great ideas that popped out to meet the challenge. The following mocs were submissions to the 39^th LUGnuts build challenge:

Dakar, to any racing fan, is one of the most grueling races ever. And because the Octan company never backs down on any challenge to prove itself, these built-for-Dakar pieces are Octan’s entry to the rally-raid race through tough terrain. This buggy was created by .Jake, the first Octan Dakar vehicle.

The Dakar rally is also famous to off-road trucks, and this Octan-themed truck is just one of the many trucks that will be joining the machine-punishing race.

Perhaps one of the most detailed in the Dakar line-up, this modified Nissan Navara Dakar Rally Car by Firas Abu-Jaber could might as well win the best in design award. This moc sports individual suspension, and a working steering mechanism.

The Octan theme did not just confine itself in racing cars, but also movie icons. This batman and bat mobile sports the Octan red, green, and white, and the Octan logo. This is clever, and funny.

Flickr user lego_nabii, too had his clever ideas of his own. His idea for the Octan build challenge was to go into the future of the Octan company and built models of what may be used by the company in the future.

Perhaps the holy grail of racing, the formula 1 is also on Octan’s lineup. This amazingly-detailed piece was created with the label Octan Racing Team 2011. Michael Schumacher’s race car might just meet its most challenging foe this year.

The World Rally Championship is one of the most sought-after prizes by car manufacturers and racing buffs from all over. With this, you can bet that Octan will not let this pass. From the same guy that brought you the Octan F1, comes this masterpiece of a rally car.
