Lego Mirroring Life Itself

Now that Valentine’s Day is over and all those flowers are almost about to wilt (depending on the weather in your country), it is time for all of us to be normal again.

Some of us are getting for work or maybe getting ready to sleep to get to work in the morning. Or like this Lego piece created by Noah Nieman here, some of us are already walking to work.

Whatever you may be doing today, it probably is just an ordinary day or you may be celebrating your birthday or a loved one’s. Sometimes, when you come to think of it, we are all doing a few mundane and sometimes a few exciting things in our lives. On a daily basis, we live it (some to the hilt) even if there is no paparazzi tailing us, even if we do not have riches.

In the Lego world, money, fame and all these things that we all encounter on a daily basis are also integrated –art imitating life as they say.

Some of us just might be off to somewhere right now, either for business or leisure. Whether you are going to the Bahamas or in one of those marvelous castles in Europe, Lego has somehow got things recorded for you.

Lego creations mirror life itself –the things we do on a daily basis, our quest so to speak. Lego is not just a toy, it is in fact a de facto recording device and a semi-historian in a sense.

If the whole world gets destroyed today and those Lego creations somehow manage to survive, those who will find it will see how we lived –how our train stations were strategically placed, how some places seem to have tropical vegetation and how some places have pines or whatnot. The thing is, there is more to Lego than just playing with it –something to think about the next time you make a Lego creation.
