Wonder Woman has superhuman strength, ca fly, has super speed, super stamina and super agility. In the installations about the superhero, Superwoman also proves to be quite good in hand-to-hand combat. Tactical warfare is also her expertise. Since she grew up in the jungle, she also possesses a natural empathy with animals.

Wonder Woman was created during the Second World War when women of America took the jobs of the men because every man went to war.

Her Hellenic roots are emphasized during the Silver Age. She was described to be as “beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, stronger than Hercules, and swifter than Mercury”[1]

The evolution of the character is quite a ride and as of August 2010, Wonder Woman no longer wears her iconic stars and stripes and now dons a gold and red top, dark pants and a blue jacket. [2] This evolution does not only concern her costume though because somehow, the writers also changed her background story which according to fans is far too much. [3]

The superior warrior is a fighter and strategist thanks to the blessings she got from Athena. She has beaten Big Barda, Batman and Black Canary.

Other interesting tidbits of information regarding Wonder Woman include her having a magical twin sister called Donna Troy. We do not know if this is still included in the new Wonder Woman though and it will be a bit devastating if it isn’t.

Whatever happens however, Wonder Woman is still one of the best superheroes out there.
