Emo people are so emo that they have become a subculture and they have penetrated the world of Lego as well. You don’t believe it? To see is to believe they say.

Here are a few emo Lego men who are now walking Lego towns. But what is an Emo? And how did they come to be so emo?

Emo Origin

This is a type of rock music and more often than not, it is almost confessional in nature. It started in the 80s with its roots from hardcore punk particularly with the movement of hardcore punk in DC. It was known as emotional hardcore but others called it as emocore –later on it just became emo.

Its reinvention in the early 90s is associated with fatalism and being an outsider. The rather dramatic worldview of the music makes it very unique that today, the love for the music has become a subculture and a way of life. Although it is not well-received by those who love emo the culture and the music to consider it as a way to dress, those who dress like the vocalist of My Chemical Romance are usually called emo by their peers.

No Matter The Origin

No matter the origin, one has to take into consideration the popularity of the music and the subculture that it has penetrated the world of Lego. Lego enthusiasts, with their aim to capture life and all that is interesting in it, has started making their very own versions of what an Emo person is without the music of course but with the emotions that an Emo has to deal with or chooses not to deal with.

Whichever the case, Lego is always there to capture those heartaches.
