As William Shakespeare said, “…Love is not Which alters when it alternation finds, Or Bends with the remover to remove. “ but what is love really and why talk about it in a Lego blog?
Love is in the air thanks to widely anticipated royal wedding but what is love? Unless you are Shakespeare or some other poet who lived during the medieval ages, describing what love is can be quite difficult.
If you are a Lego enthusiast however, describing what love is through your Lego blocks is as easy as a poet writes a poem for his beloved –or maybe not. Whichever the case, professing your love and learning more about love or writing about it is always something to tinker with –much like with Lego –you tinker with them.
Our love for Lego is endless but why do we love it so much? And does this mean that we are using the word “LOVE” loosely if we say we love Lego? You must be tired of reading all those Facebook posts about how your girl friends heart something –they heart this, they heart that-sometimes it can be rather annoying but wait a second, don’t you heart Lego? If you do, don’t hate them for hearting or loving something that they love.
For many, Lego blocks are a symbol of days gone by (hello there AFOLs). For some, Lego is a teacher and a symbol for tranquility. A teacher because it teaches children a lot of things such as following directions –and this goes way further than just following instructions but directions in general such as in exams, when you are driving, etc. Lego blocks being a teacher is just something amazing because they really MORE THAN the plastic bricks that we see. They are a symbol for tranquility for some because it reminds them of playing with the bricks while they were alone –without anyone bugging them or telling them how to build something or that they are doing something wrong.
