If you wanna ride, don’t ride the white horse they say but wouldn’t it be fun for you to have a white horse in your Lego stable?

There are many meanings alluded to the white horse but one thing that many do not know is Whitehorse is a town in British Columbia located near the Yukon River but that’s not the white horse we shall be talking about here.

Let’s talk about the white horse –the animal. Horses have been a part of our society’s development but what of the white horse? Well, they are quite popular with children in the Lego world because they are uber cute but let us insert some tidbits of information about the animal itself.

White horses are rather rare because most horses are brownish in colour that is why white horses are usually significant in the mythologies of different cultures.  They are a symbol of fertility, are a symbol in religions specifically in the bible where Jesus Christ will be returning to Earth riding a white horse. White horses are also said to be connected to the sun chariot. These horses are portrayed in myths including Celtic, Greek, Iranian, Hindu, Norse, Slavic, Buddhist, Finno-Ugric, Islamic, Christian, Korean, Philippine, Native American and Vietnamese cultures.

In Celtic tradition, Rhiannon (not Rihanna) a mythical figure rides a pale-white horse. Because the mythic figure rides such a horse she has been associated with Epona the horse goddess. In England, white horses are common as hill figures. Such examples include many a modern hill figures but one that is most visited by tourists and locals is the Uffington White Horse which was carved during the Bronze Age. Although most of the time, white horses bring in good vibes so to speak, the Scotts see them differently because there is this Scottish folklore that describes a water demon that looks like a white horse. Interesting isn’t it? So do not ever think that buying yourself a white horse for your Lego farm is not remarkable at all.
