If April 9th is your birthday and you are having birthday blues, thou shall not worry, we will provide you with some Lego entertainment.

One of the hottest topics in this blog is regarding Lego cakes. We should admit however that we aren’t pastry chefs and just love eating cake –Lego cakes to be exact.

Hate the birthday brigade? Alright let’s talk about something else. April  the 9th is an eventful day. The 99th day of the year has a lot to say about history so let us give you a quick rundown of these events

In April 9th 715 Constantine ended his reign as the Catholic pope.

Alright that’s not really Constantine but it is a Lego pope made by a guy named Constantine.

On April 9 of 1241, the Battle of Liegnitz happens and the Mongols defeat the Germans and the Poles.

In 1454, Milan and Venice signs peace of Lodi while in 1474 Breisach guardian Peter von Hagenbach gets rid of the Italians in his territory.

On April 9th 1483 Edward V, the 12-year-old son of Edward IV succeeded the throne. He was later on deposed by his own uncle.

On April 9, 1538 Christian III –the Danish king entered the Schmalkaldische Union.

On April 9, 1555 Marcello Cervini became pope.

In 1609, The Netherlands and Spain sign a 12-year Resistant Pact, 12 years later on the same date (of course) the pact ends.

On April 9th 1667 Palais-Royale in Paris staged their very first public exhibition.

In 1682 Robert La Salle claimed the lower part of Mississippi now Louisiana for France.

In 1770, Captain James Cook discovers Australia (Botany Bay).
