Lego Trivia

If you dig through a toy chest of a child, you will definitely find Lego bricks and other Lego elements.

This my friends is a certainty because Lego won’t be called Toy of the Century for nothing. The British Toy Retailers Association announced a few years back that Lego has even beat Barbie.

Barbie of course is an icon but so is Lego. But why is it that Lego is so popular that it does not go out of style.

The story of the Lego Group as Lego enthusiasts very well know started in the year 1932 when Ole Kirk Christiansen began his wooden toys business. Later on, this toy became the little coloured bricks made out of a special kind of plastic –the ones that we now see today.

Wooden toys are cool but they grow old and sometimes they expand that the pieces do not fit anymore. Lego bricks on the other hand, do not get affected by the elements. What makes these toys really great is that the one’s you bought in the 80s or further back still fit the new ones i.e. those produced in 2010 or 2011 which makes the toy quite wonderful.

It is classic and you can collect them too if you want a bunch of Lego products. You can make anything out of them –from sculptures to baskets to small trucks to big trucks –anything!

Apart from its contribution to education and improving one’s imagination, Lego bricks are safe too. They do not have sharp edges and they are non-toxic.

The bricks are so versatile that people from all around the world can relate to them. You can build the Great Wall of China with it if you have enough bricks and you can make something as small as a bunny too. Basically, as we have mentioned before, you can do anything with your Lego bricks and much more.
