France is a beautiful country and it’s not just the capital that is going to blow the minds of tourists but the scenic countryside as well.

The smell of the French countryside’s grasslands is almost like going to a French kitchen complete with herbs and cheese. The culinary delights that the country offer are just amazing to say the least.

France has an estimated population of 64 million. Its largest cities apart from Paris, are Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Nice, Nantes, Strasbourg, and Bordeaux.

France has been one of the most influential nations in the world for over 500 years now. Its political, military and economic influence does not stop in Europe though because France also has a great influence on its former colonies in Africa.

France may be known for its historic places, its food and its fashionable men and women but many do not know that France has one of the biggest military budgets in the world.

While you are in France, do not forget to visit the countryside. Paris, France is great but getting to know the country will be more fun if you went to places like Normandy. While in the area, one should visit the limestone cliffs located near Etretat. It’s too bad that Lego only has the Eiffel Tower model because building the cliffs of Normandy would be quite delightful –and pretty difficult too.

Other places to visit include Provence, the vineyards in Burgundy, Savoie, the Vosges Mountains and the Calanques de Sugiton located near Marseille. Nice is also a great place to go to if you would like to stay in a resort hotel.

Maybe after you visit France, you can build your very own French Lego town based on what you have seen. This should be a wonderful project for any Lego enthusiast who loves France.
