More Lego Valentine Mania

February 10th, 2010

Here comes more Valentine Lego mania. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and paper hearts and paper roses are just about everywhere. If you want to make an impact on Valentine’s Day better build a Lego heart or a Lego Valentine gift. No need to wrap it up in expensive paper, just use your little coloured bricks. But if you do not have a date for Valentine’s Day or is much too young to be going on dates, well you could still make Lego hearts and other Lego Valentine gifts for your friends and family.

One of the most picturesque Lego hearts is the one in the heavens. Yes you got that right, a Lego heart space station not a star. You can make this one and give it to your friends who are in love with intergalactic thingamajigs.

For those who love colors, you can make a colorful Lego Valentine heart or make a Lego Valentine clock for all your friends. This is a sweet gift that says “I will always love you” –a bit cheesy yet but who doesn’t love cheese? Now back to the Lego heart clocks, these were made by Mitch and Kristina and you can make them as well. You can buy clock spare parts in any department store or bookstore and start that project as soon as possible.

If you want something that will remind all of your friends or your girlfriend of you, you can make a Lego Valentine jewelry case. This was also made by the people who made those beautiful Lego Valentine clocks.

These are really cute and they make great gifts as well. It would take a lot of creativity though for you to make these but with enough imagination and red Lego bricks you will be able to do so.

There are lots of Lego Valentine gift ideas online and you can just search for pictures that you can base your Lego Valentine creation on. You won’t have to break the bank to make Lego hearts or other Valentine gifts, you just have to use your beloved Legos -it’s fun, it’s inexpensive and it enhances your creativity. Good luck!

Lego Valentines Cruise

February 10th, 2010

This Valentine’s Day, cozying up with the love of your life has become as important as going home for thanksgiving or Christmas. Many couples try to make Valentine ’s Day more special by going on a cruise. Lego minifigs on the other hand are also into the Valentines cruise. There are many Lego cruise deals to choose from and at affordable Lego rates as well!

For Lego minifigs who want to have fun the Disney way should check out ZRSPilot’s Lego cruise ship creation. Lego minifigs can bask in the sun by going to the Lego cruise ship’s deck. There are lots to do in cruise ships, minifigs can wine and dine alfresco in the Lego cruise ship’s restaurants, enjoy the Jacuzzi or take a swim in the cruise ship’s pool.

Valentine’s Day cruises offer a lot of dancing, gourmet meals and of course lots of romance for Lego couples. For Lego couples who want to splurge, why not try going onboard the Queen Mary 2? This Lego creation is of colossal proportions and was made by Rene Hoffmeister, a German Lego builder. Rene is truly talented and there is an assurance for Lego couples that they will have fun in this ship.

The Lego cruise ship’s photo was taken when it was getting finishing touches from its creator. This magnanimously beautiful Lego cruise ship is a remarkable Lego creation and this Valentine’s Day, Lego minifigs should pick up their phones and reserve a cabin for a relaxing and romantic cruise on Legoland’s seas.

For Lego minifigs who want a yacht experience, you can board Cole D’s little cruise ship. Cole is only 6 years old and his cruise ship has a water slide, a swimming pool, 64 windows and 4 lifeboats. Boarding Cole’s cruise ship will be a delight for minifigs since there are not too many people and service is more personal.

Another Lego cruise ship to consider is 13 year old Keith’s Norwegian Tropical Palm. The Lego cruise ship boasts a movie theater, an amusement park, and  a water park. The 12 story cruise ship, according to Keith departs from Honolulu, Hawaii and cruises along Legoland’s oceans for a certain duration –depending of course on the season.

Keith says that there are enough guest rooms to accommodate Lego minifigs and these staterooms include hot tubs. Amazing isn’t it?

Preparing for a Date

February 8th, 2010

Valentine’s Day is so near it feels like Christmas, for lovers at least. In Legoland, minifigs and Lego sculptures are now getting ready for that big day. Most women wear red for that formal Valentine’s date and you should take a look at these Lego sculptures made by Nathan Sawaya that depicts that red dress, and the woman of course.

These two are ready to go on an elegant night in the town and yes they are life size Lego sculptures. Amazing isn’t it? If you do not believe they are life size here are a few more photos to illustrate.

Now that looks like a happy group.

For those who are going out on a date on Valentine’s Day, be sure that you are dressed to kill to make your partner swoon. For the boys, bring some chocolates or flowers or any type of gift for your girlfriend, she will appreciate it. In fact, she might have picked a gift for you already so be sweet just this once and give your lady a Valentine’s Day gift.

Valentines Day Gift Suggestions

Ladies usually have a hard time picking the right Valentines gift for their partners but when it comes right down to it, toys for the big boys is what your man really wants -this however will be a little over your budget so why not buy him a pair of shoes?

You can get real shoes instead of a Lego one. This creation however is an astounding hit to the kids and Lego fans who are no longer kids.

For the men, bring a bouquet of flowers for your partner. You no longer have to choose from the myriad of flower selections, you can just get her red roses. Red roses are classy and they spell L O V E.

Cards may be cliche but adding a card to your bouquet of flowers is never a no no. A note that says “I Love You” is never a cliche after all.

Lego Valentines Day Mania

February 8th, 2010

Valentine’s Day is a yearly event where couples can show their love and appreciation for their partner. For fans of Lego, Valentine’s Day is another chance for couples to show off their sweet and sometimes geeky love for each other and the toy. Here are a few

1. Hearts

Valentine’s Day is never complete without seeing a heart shaped item. It is by far the most common modern symbol associated with this special occasion.  Looking entirely different from the anatomical version, people associate this shape with feelings of love and emotion. Oftentimes considered cliché, heart shaped items are still popular things to give during Valentine’s Day.

For those who want to give heart artwork to their loved ones, do not be ashamed even if it’s what everybody does. After all, this will sweep off your partner’s feet.

2. More Hearts

Aside from the cute and palatable ones, there are also Lego heart creations that may not be loved by all.

One can never go wrong with hearts during Valentine’s Day. Although this may not look as cute as the previous ones, the detail on the artworks is still amazing. It may not be affordable but something Lego fans would be able to appreciate. The sculpture was made by Lego Artist Nathan Sawaya.

3. Flowers

Another usual item given during this day of love is flowers. With the various types of Lego pieces these days, it is no surprise to find intricately designed flowers available on the market soon.

4. Chocolates

Flowers and chocolates normally go hand in hand during Valentine’s Day. The first may not be edible but still looks as delicious as the real one.

This chocolate on the other hand is edible. The maker just used the Lego blocks as a mold. Isn’t that cute? Look at those bricks, they will just melt your heart away whether you are under 11 or over 45.

5. Cards

Greeting cards are also another staple in this special occasion. This product by Muji and Lego allows fans to integrate their favorite game with a paper based product. It allows for more creativity and customization, adding a more personalized touch with every gift.

6. Jewelry

Unlike the previously mentioned items, these are some which both genders can appreciate and use. Hopefully, none of these items will come up in any wedding proposal though.

If I Sing You a Love Song…

February 8th, 2010

If you remember that throaty love song that goes “Love songs don’t leave you, the way lovers often do, so baby let me sing a love song for you…” This song applies to many people all around the globe and it applies to Lego minifigs as well. Take for example former golden couple, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. Lego Brad and the real Bradley Pitt left now his former wife to be with Angelina Jolie. The two now have their very own set of children in real life and in Legolandia.

Another heartbreaking Lego love story is Lego Tiger Woods’ and his wife Erin’s. The philandering Tiger is now alone and might get divorced soon. Lego Tiger and Lego Erin’s love story has finally ended and this is a sad thought especially at this time of the year.

Lego Bill Clinton and Lego Hillary has the same story. Hillary’s philandering husband even faced impeachment during his presidency making the Clinton love story a sham.

During Lego Barrack Obama’s inauguration though, the Clinton minifigs (and the real Clintons) were sitting sede by side. Whatever happened there let us all hope it was something good because heartbreak in Legolandia is more heartbreaking than the real deal.

John F. Kennedy, no matter how great the man was, still cheated on his wife. Although the whole story is full of controversy, this is something that is depicted using Lego bricks -by adults of course.

It seems that love songs really do last longer than most lovers but not Laura and George W. Bush and Dubya’s mom and dad. They are the ones who seem to have gone against all odds. Michelle and Barrack Obama seem to be doing well in terms of their marriage as well and that is one good example for everyone.

Lego fanatics’ interpretations of the love affairs of political figures is not something new and whatever the reason that these are immortalized in Lego, they are still cute -amidst all the controversy.
